Letter from Frank Cassara regarding Richard Stauffacher's book "Etching with Permeable Grounds"

I was very pleased and honored to receive the following letter from University of Michigan Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design Professor Emeritus Frank Cassara, key WPA-FAP artist, and a member of the influential Atelier 17 studio in Paris. Professor Frank Cassara, taught printmaking at Stamps School from 1947 through 1983 and is, among other things, the inventor of White Ground.

Frank's 100th birthday celebration was on March 17, 2013, although his actual birth date is March 13, 1913.

Frank passed away on Jan. 13, 2017 at age 103, and ten months.
